Judge urges settlement in BlackBerry dispute

While many likely thought patent dispute between Research In Motion (RIM), the vendor behind the BlackBerry device, and NTP, which claims to own some key device patents, would be settled by now, the two sides don't seem any closer to coming to an agreement. But that may likely change this week as the judge hearing the case has pretty much said that a settlement would benefit the two vendors more than any court ruling he hands down. In fact, he pretty much said his ruling won't make anyone happy.
