IT salaries up due to tech demand, talent shortage
October 24, 2006 — 8:01pm ET
Be prepared to pay more for software development staff, as a new salary survey shows an overall 2.8% percent increase for IT professionals, with software specialists seeing a 5.1% compensation increase this year. According to the Robert Half Technology salary survey, the boost for developers is due to a shrinking talent pool. The overall salary increase is the result of more technology demands from businesses, says the report.
