We report this week on some strong signals that the recession may be waning, and life could be back to normal quite soon, for the technology industry.
The numbers were good on Wall Street last week, and tech stocks were selling well.
But we also report on some alarming news that the recession is still in full force in Silicon Valley where the unemployment rate is near 12 percent. And tech workers are jumping ship and heading into other employable directions.
So, is the glass half full or half empty? And what move should you be making?
If you have a job, work hard to keep it. All signs point to the importance of tech workers once the smoke clears.
If you don't have a job, keep looking. You have an important commodity that will eventually be a valued resource. In the meantime, keep your skills up to date, because this too shall pass. - Judi
