Is the IT job market getting easier?

It's probably way too soon to predict that things are getting better on the IT job front. But there seem to be a few signs that things are improving.
New research by Foote Partners reports that the recession has not had much impact on the need for IT executives. Yes, it's still hard, but it's definitely a field that cannot be ignored. The report finds that parts of the IT world are, in fact, thriving.
There are definitely jobs on the horizon in the private sector after the dust settles. A company cannot afford to close down its IT shop or even outsource most of the work. And IT is not a dead end for anyone. A company that does not have an IT department is not in the 21st century.
We're not ready to predict that the end is in sight, yet. But we are happy to report that experts are looking ahead optimistically. - Judi
