IBM offers tips to CIOs in India

IBM India has announced the results of a study aimed at bridging the disconnect between business and IT while enhancing innovation among India's CIOs. The study has found that a majority of CIOs in India (86 percent) consider business and technology integration to be a key concern; more than half of CIOs surveyed also reported that their organizations need to be better integrated. The study identified three valuable lessons that can contribute to a CIO's success in India:

• Business model innovation is necessary for top-line growth
• Business and technology integration provides CIOs an opportunity for innovation
• Collaboration among employees and internal organizations is important, but relationships with outside organizations result in higher revenue growth and original solutions
