IBM expands Information on Demand products

IBM unveiled a long list of new products Wednesday in support of its Information on Demand portfolio. These services include applications in areas such as human capital management and financial performance.

One new IBM product is particularly timely in light of the current debate on e-health records. The application is called InfoSphere Clinical Analytics for Healthcare Providers, which analyzes information such as lab and billing systems. It can be used to analyze which drugs are working best for patients with similar conditions.

Big Blue is also rolling out services to help customers reduce their use of paper. One service will help businesses estimate their paper costs and how to cut them down.
