HP CEO pushes company around a big corner
While no one thought it would be easy, HP's CEO Mark Hurd is certainly making the company's turnaround appear easy. Hurd has balanced the revenue flow into four segments and is giving analysts the news they want to hear the most--posting a profit of over $1.2 billion. Experts and pundits credit Hurd's management style, they way he approached instigating cultural change and bringing synergy and calm to what was a little rockier boat under former chief Carly Fiorina.
