HP aiming to do some shopping

It's been a pretty good spring for HP: Earnings and industry share are up, and newly christened CEO Mark Hurd's strategy is paying off. So it's little surprise that the vendor is looking to acquire some more software pieces. According to Ann Livermore, executive VP of the Technology Solutions Group, HP's planning to expand its software portfolio and grow more organic research and development investments.
