How Uncle Sam hopes to share data wealth

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has embarked on what it's calling an "Open Source" (not technology related) effort to share data and information among intelligence organizations to boost security and improve criminal investigations. The 'open source' aspect refers to an open data sharing model, and the ultimate goal is to establish one network of sharing, rather than the multitude of networks now in place, so that everyone within the intelligence community can benefit from the wealth of data constantly being collected.
