Social media is here to stay. It's at home and it's also at work, as more companies are integrate Twitter and Facebook into their day-to-day work.

But along with all the positive aspects of this new medium comes quicksand. We've all done this--used Twitter to tweet how we really feel and put our opinions on a Facebook wall for anyone to see.

If you are a free-wheeling social networker, remember that your work will be noticed, sometimes in the wrong way. Here are several examples CNN.com uncovered about what not to say when you are communicating on social networks:

  • "I hate my job!! i want to tell my bosses how dumb they are and how meaningless this job is, then quit, and be happy!"
  • "Workin...This job sucks worse than the economy!"

If this sounds familiar, you may be in trouble. Stop telling the world what you think, especially if you are job hunting. And remember, once it's on the Internet, it will stay there.
