Google now lets you monitor your Gmail account
July 8, 2008 — 7:03am ET | By Paul Mah
A new feature has been added to Gmail that essentially will give you a bird eyes view of your account activity on the popular free email host. Basic information such as the number of computers that your account is currently open on will be displayed in the footer. More detailed information will be just a click away, and will show the most recent IP addresses as well as the modes of access--Mobile, POP, IMAP, etc--used to log into your account. As with all Google services, this new feature is not yet available on all accounts. Google did say that this feature is being rolled out as part of the latest in a series of changes to Gmail.
