Getting started with SOA

SOA has plenty of promise for companies, but it can seem daunting to get started. First, take a step back and rethink your fundamental approach to application building and management. Figure out how you're going to make the cultural transition toward a more holistic business perspective and focus on the reuse of both business process and corporate data. One way to make it easier is to buy a bundled set of SOA infrastructure components, such as IBM's, which includes WebSphere, Tivoli and IBM information management software. Each of the five configurations IBM offers includes a reference architecture, guides and supporting information.
