Get to know your tech vendor

A tech vendor must please all of the people all of the time. At least that is the attitude you want to see if you are a CIO and paying top dollar for service and support. A recent CIO.com article outlined advice from one CIO on how high the bar should be raised. David Grooms, the CIO of McDonald's North America, said vendors must fully live up to service agreements and be accessible at every level of the operation. For McDonald's, it not only means pleasing headquarters, but being available to handle issues right down to the individual fast food restaurants.
