If Bill Gates gets his way, users and IT teams won't be resetting passwords much longer. Touting his company's latest security tool, the Infocard authentication system, Microsoft's CEO says the solution uses a federation identity system that doesn't require users to login with a user name or password but instead relies on authentication approval from programs and applications. Gates claims it's not only more secure but will make the IT department's job much easier.
