If you and your corporate brethren are itching to roll out Voice over Internet Protocol, don't be quick to jump ahead without finding out the top five things you need to know before a VoIP deployment. The first you likely already know--VoIP can be a critical business asset and you don't have to do a full rollout to start achieving the cost benefits. But you do have to realize it will cost money upfront and it isn't a plug-and-play tech effort. While security hasn't been a huge concern at this point, experts note that will very likely change as the technology grabs further hold within organizations.
