Feds searching for better data mining tools

The Feds are on the hunt for better and more sophisticated data mining tools, even while current practices are gathering attention over privacy issues. The dust being kicked up over how much Uncle Sam can find out, or how much data they can get their hands on, doesn't seem to slowing down agencies clearly bent on trying to grab information and data from the digital world. While the National Security Agency (NSA) won't comment on recent trips to vendors in Silicon Valley, it's pretty obvious that some agencies aren't being deterred by growing fire storms about what constitutes private data and what doesn't on the consumer user level.
