Feds map out cyber security plan
The federal government has released online its new plan for boosting cyber security. The Federal Plan for Cyber Security and Information Assurance Research and Development lists out a 10-point plan focusing on big gaps in technology and capabilities. The plan, created by the Interagency Working Group on Cyber Security and Information Assurance, which falls under the the National Science and Technology Council, offers up recommendations that range from countering high-impact threats to increasing the overall security and information assurance of IT systems to developing new technologies to stay ahead of the increasing threats.
