Execs push back on regulatory mandates

It certainly falls within the "tell me something I don't know department," but the cry being sent to lawmakers is how regulatory mandates are becoming an excessive burden on business. While new rules such as The Sarbanes-Oxley Act were needed following accounting scandals in the past decade, corporate leaders are trying to get some relief and prevent more compliance laws from hitting the books. They also want some revamping of rules like SOX, stating the costs and internal resources requirements are hurting the bottom line.
