EMC has acquired taste for acquisitions
The art of the merger--acquiring new companies, assimilating products and people and coming out a stronger business force--isn't any easy feat, but EMC could write the book on how to get as close to M&A perfection as possible. The data storage vendor has made 17 company acquisitions in three years and some have lead to encouraging revenue streams. EMC doesn't strip acquired companies down bare, and it realizes the value of retaining the company leaders to keep running the newly formed businesses.
