Do you spend leisurely Sunday afternoons watching National Football League games? What if you could get paid for doing it? Well, Electronic Arts assistant designer Anthony White does just that. His job is to ensure the football plays used by Madden NFL Football gamers are as accurate and up to date as possible.

During football season, White receives a portable hard drive at his desk that contains videos of that week's NFL games. He then watches every one to ensure the software on EA's Madden NFL Football titles are nearly identical to the real thing.

"Sometimes I have to pinch myself," White told CIO.com. Still, the job does take a lot of effort and concentration. For Madden 09, it meant watching and adding 32 new formations and about 1,200 new plays. Poor guy.
