Don't ignore mature tech talent

Tech departments facing a talent shortage could be overlooking a pool of valuable workers--those at the older end of the scale. According to one industry analyst, "mature" tech workers pose a tremendous benefit to companies seeking knowledge; experience is often overlooked with all the talk of baby boomer retirements. CIOs can and will benefit from hiring on the older staffer for another big reason, as well-mature professionals are often easier to manage.
