Deutsche banking on VoIP

Deutsche Bank is going Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in a big way, and it's all due to its most recent corporate acquisition effort. As the company's networking leader explains, the purchase of a smaller banking institution that had VoIP in place presented the right time to jump on the IP telephony bandwagon. While there will likely be huge cost savings as the system grows, the tech leader says the immediate reward is a stable telcom infrastructure, which is key to customer service and business operations.
