D-Day arrives for Vista

It's D-Day for Microsoft as it formally debuts Vista, the long-awaited operating system that's been scrutinized for months over security and functionality issues. The OS comes five years after XP's arrival and, according to CEO Steve Ballmer, it represents the best of Microsoft's knowledge and customer service. As noted earlier this week, Vista is expected to top the charts in terms of adoption and deployment over other systems.
