Creating a balance between work and life
If you find yourself routinely leaving the office last every night, you've probably lost a sense of balance between personal pursuits and work. Although it may be tempting to cram your days full of productive work-related activities that often spill over into the evening hours, leaders must make sure not to lose sight of the importance of down time and personal relationships. It's often easier to bury yourself in work, but balance actually increases productivity--not to mention happiness--which is good for you and your company. It builds creative energy and primes your subconscious to work on difficult problems. Whatever it takes-taking up a hobby, playing a sport, spending time with your family-make time to do it.
