Covad Communications Offers Faster DSL Service

Covad Communications said last week it is now offering ADSL2+, a faster DSL service that supports speeds of 8, 10 or 15Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream. The improved technology will let Covad and its DSL resellers like EarthLink compete with higher-speed cable modem services. ADSL2+ is provisioned in a similar fashion to its other DSL offerings and rides on the same copper infrastructure, says the company.
