Cloud computing is here to stay

You may shrug off cloud computing as the latest fad and nothing more. But you better listen up because it is here to stay. Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and a few other big vendors are investing $5 billion to build the infrastructure and sell IT through the cloud, according to Gartner. It will make it easier and cheaper to get the IT services you need. And if you have had a desire to dismiss what you think is just another label, think about it again.

Cloud Computing staying power has everything to do with 'big dog' adoption (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/04/21/who-are-the-biggest-users-of-amazon-web-services-its-not-startups/).

Want an easy way to start evaluating the benefits of Cloud Computing? Check out the Elastic Server On-Demand (http://es.cohesiveft.com). It lets you build your custom application or component stack into virtualized Elastic Server(tm) and deploy them with one click to Amazon's Compute Cloud (EC2). The whole process take a couple minutes. You can also build to vmware, xen, and parallels formats, so you can easily test your virtualized server locally and then launch the cloud version with speed and quality.
