CIOs must predict the future

You probably don't have a crystal ball that tells you what's ahead but that's still a skill that CIOs must have. It's not just technology either. CIOs must be able to confidently predict what will happen next to stay ahead of change. "In the IT area, one of our strategies has been to anticipate the future - so that we stay ahead of the change," says Proctor & Gamble's CIO, Filippo Passerini. "Concretely, this means tracking emerging business trends and working to manage them proactively."
