CEOs should shoulder some of the blame
Despite recent articles that say that CIOs are largely to blame for many of the problems in the corporation today, take heart: CEOs are as much to blame as anyone else. Failure to understand technology means that CEOs just don't get it--and that means the company won't get it, either. CEOs and CIOs should be crafting the vision of the company together and IT is a big part of that. CEOs, like CIOs, must be able to adapt. Doing otherwise will lead to problems down the road.
