C-level Shuffle at Yahoo, SAP
After over 10 years as Yahoo's CTO, Farzad Nazem is calling it quits. The move is not surprising given the company's head-to-head battle with Google. "After spending the last 26 years in this fast-paced technology industry, I've finally decided it's time to slow down," Nazem wrote in a posting to the company's blog. Meanwhile, at SAP, Vishal Sikka was named to the company's first CTO position, just two months after Shai Agassi resigned as president of the company's products and technologies division. Sikka was formerly senior vice president and chief software architect at SAP. Why does the company need a CTO now? A spokesman says that the company is undergoing a number of changes, including an increased focus on the midmarket, the introduction of new on-demand products and the continued rollout of Netweaver SOA development tools.
