BlackBerry users happy over patent settlement
It cost Research In Motion (RIM) $612.5 million dollars, but the maker of the popular BlackBerry device believes it is well worth the cost to keep its 3 million users up and running. After all, there's still a huge market to be tapped. Experts say that while NTP, the technology patent holder, had wanted close to $1 billion, the agreed upon settlement amount is a reasonable agreement.
