Initially scheduled to present at the well-known Black Hat Conference over in Las Vegas, Apple's security engineering team has withdrawn at the last minute ostensibly due to "some problems they wouldn't be able to solve in time." Probably as a result of its notorious secrecy, the panel has been one of the eagerly anticipated highlights of the conference this year, and would have given attendees an insider look at Apple's security response team.

Still, it could be that the abrupt withdrawal has something to do with the DNS vulnerability that remained unfixed. Or, as some reports have it, that Apple's marketing department got wind of the scheduled event, after which they proceeded to put a stop to it.
