Battle boils up over H1-B visa issue
The debate over how many H1-B visas the U.S. should allocate for the next year is gearing up as a hot battle in the halls of Congress. The House of Representatives clearly isn't aligned with President Bush and a U.S. Senate committee, both of which want the visa allotment to increase. In fact, the House doesn't even have a bill in the works to boost the visa cap from 65,000 to 115,000. But Silicon Valley and other advocates hope to change that scenario.
