Ballmer: We'll beat IBM in the enterprise
Microsoft is going head-to-head with IBM in the large enterprise computing market at this point, and CEO Steve Ballmer says his company is intent on being the "enabler" of people-ready business and has the weapons (the Office application and Windows operating system) and user base to wage and win the competitive war. As Ballmer notes, the two vendors have two very different and distinct philosophies. Of course, he believes Microsoft has the winning strategy.
