Consultant Tom Koulopoulos, CEO of the Delphi Group, has some wise words about the ideal situation for IT working with the business process. He calls for much more involvement from the business end and less from IT, which is the opposite of what happens in most organizations, he says. But getting the necessary level of involvement from the business side can be tough, not only because people are busy, but also because they may not understand the business processes holistically. It's also important for non-IT professionals to gain more IT skills, he says.
