Baby Boomers are well connected

A Forrester Research report has revealed an interesting finding: Baby Boomers aren't exactly technology novices. In fact, more than 60 percent of this post-war generation actively consumes socially created content, such as blogs, videos, podcasts and online forums. What's more, the percentage of those participating is on the rise, and almost one in four younger Boomers are active in social networks.

For companies wanting to reach Baby Boomers online, this data shows that spending at least a portion of your budget on social applications for this demographic isn't entirely a waste of time or money. The group isn't as active online as younger generations, but their participation levels are now moderate and increasing.
