Another Vital Exec Leaves SAP
SAP is about to lose another key executive. Aliza Peleg, managing director of SAP Labs U.S., will leave the company by the end of next month. The news comes just after Shai Agassi, president of SAP's product and technology group resigned on April 1. Agassi, who was expected to become co-CEO of SAP upon Henning Kagermann's departure, left to pursue opportunities in alternative energy sources and environmental policy after the vendor opted to keep Henning Kagermann on as CEO until 2009. According to CIO.com, some industry observers have wondered whether Agassi's departure signaled a retrenching of SAP's focus back to its Walldorf, Germany headquarters as the center for decision-making and development efforts. Peleg has not stated her future career plans as of press time.
