A new IE flaw discovered
A newly discovered flaw within Active X in IE has cropped up right on the heels of the vulnerability tied to WebViewFolderIcon. The two risks have prompted security group US-CERT to issue warnings. Earlier this week it was reported that Microsoft would issue a patch for the earlier reported flaw ahead of its monthly October Patch Tuesday release. With the current threat, security experts are recommending enterprises disable Active Scripting or set the "kill bit" control for Active X.
