A collaborative effort to stop 'badware'
Realizing that power comes with numbers, a group of vendors are joining forces to fight spyware and throw a spotlight on those companies committing the nasty deed. The new group, called StopBadware.org, is described as a neighborhood watch organization that will offer resources and information about "badware." It will also work to define the malicious activity and establish standards on what constitutes spyware. Of course, there's a Google leader involved, as well as the "Father of the Internet," Vincent Cerf.
