2006: A risky year for IE users
If it seems that every week brings a newly discovered flaw or security issue with Internet Explorer, you're not just imagining things. In fact, 2006 gives us a startling security statistic: the IE browser was actually at risk, or vulnerable to security attacks, for most of that year. According to the Washington Post, the browser was open to attack 284 days during the last year, with 98 days of critical vulnerability, thanks to slow-in-coming patches.
