How to get off of a social network

You're not a social networking freak. In fact, you don't even like it. You were badgered by employees to join Facebook, Twitter and other sites, and now you want out. But there's a problem; while signing up for a social networking site is easy to do, getting off is one big headache.

Each site has its own process for eliminating a profile. You can scour the site and probably find the delete button, or maybe you won't find it. Even so, it may take a few weeks for your decision to remove yourself to become the reality on some search engines. So have patience. To avoid this problem in the future, make sure you want to sign up for the website in the first place.
