The founder of the World Wide Web has a warning for the online world: We all are at increased risk of governments and corporations spying on us. Tim Berners-Lee, who founded the World Wide Web, said the increased use of the web makes individuals highly vulnerable to the loss of personal data and detailed tracking of their activities and habits.
He said the analytic tools available are making this much easier, and pose a serious privacy risk. Berners-Lee, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), also predicted that the future of the web is on mobile phones, not laptops or desktops.
