A militant Lebanese organization is eying US-based Web sites as a means to communicate and publicize their message. Hizballah has already broken into communication portals at several companies, including a Texas cable business, a Virginia cable provider and Web-hosting servers based in several locations from Montreal to New Jersey. According to security experts such Web site hijacking is becoming a critical communications tool for recruiting support, money and greater publicity for their cause. While the first response may be to shut down the compromised sites, federal terrorist experts say that's not the best way to try and stop the online activity.
