AMSTERDAM--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- On June 18^th the public beta of the Widgr Marketplace platform has been opened for the community. Widgr Marketplace is the first global marketplace for widgets based on different technology standards targeted at the enterprise. For example re-usable solutions based on OpenSocial gadget, portlet or web part technology. A unique feature of the marketplace is the ability to do a live preview of published solutions on the leading enterprise web platforms.

Visiting the Widgr Marketplace is for free. Solution Providers pay an annual fee per solution for publishing and exhibiting their solutions. Implementation Partners pay an annual fee to become visible in the global partner directory.

Widgr Marketplace is an initiative from the Dutch company Widgr B.V.

For more than two years a small international team supported by a group of multinational customers, market analysts, software vendors and system integrators have worked on setting up the Widgr Marketplace platform. The Widgr Marketplace already contains some example solutions.

With the announcement of this public beta platform the community is requested to give feedback, participate actively and publish new solutions.
