Provides Disabled Veterans with Opportunities to Work and Enables Utilities to Benefit from Highly-Skilled and Motivated Customer Support Teams

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vertex, a leading international Customer Management Outsourcing business with clients in the private and public sectors, announces that it has launched the Vertex Working Warriors Program. This initiative leverages the latest advances in technology and enables Vertex to provide clients in the Utilities sector with customer care support from highly qualified and skilled disabled veterans and/or their caregivers. This program is being delivered via a “work from home” setting, supporting veterans who may not be able to travel to work and providing locally-based support to Utilities and their customers if desired, as well as through a traditional contact center environment.

Vertex has partnered with several well recognized state and national veteran organizations to create this unique program, designed to support the rich talent pool of former military personnel who have become disabled. As part of the Vertex commitment to deliver quality solutions to Vertex clients, the program kicks off initially in Texas, with plans to extend throughout the United States.

Services to be provided through the Working Warriors initiative include:

  • Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)
  • Technical Support Personnel
  • Energy Efficiency Advisors
  • Back Office Resources
  • Inbound and Outbound Sales Agents
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Resources

“I am delighted that the Vertex Working Warriors Program is part of our services portfolio. It offers high quality customer care to our clients, while providing disabled veterans who may not be able to work in a traditional ‘brick and mortar’ setting the opportunity to meet the financial needs of their families,” said Dan Sullivan, managing director, Utilities, Vertex Business Services. “Our disabled veterans face countless challenges when they return home, and Vertex hopes to help alleviate some of that stress by providing a sustainable career opportunity to those who have sacrificed so much for our country. This program is an opportunity for Vertex to give back while providing exceptional customer care to our clients and their customers. The result is a win for disabled veteran employees and Vertex — as well as the clients we jointly serve.”

“Our lives and activities are protected by our great Heroes who do this for us every single day. Vertex Business Services understands this and, as a result, they cannot do enough to support this tremendous asset our country has,” stated Lt. General Leroy Sisco, USA (Ret), founder of Military Warriors Support Foundation. “When they love our Heroes like they do, then I can’t say enough things about their great company.”
