TIAA-CREF to Be First Sponsor of the 2010 Hay Group Healthcare Survey

NEW YORK & PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Retirement provider TIAA-CREF and global consulting firm Hay Group announced today a new partnership in which TIAA-CREF will sponsor the 2010 Hay Group Healthcare Survey. The two organizations will use the research to provide the healthcare industry with actionable insights into compensation facts and trends in their industry.

“We are very excited to have this new relationship with an organization that has served the healthcare market as long as TIAA-CREF,” said CJ Bolster, Vice President and Managing Director of the Healthcare Practice for Hay Group. “Our work together will greatly benefit the healthcare market by examining the latest developments in compensation data in our annual survey.”

The Hay Group Healthcare Survey has been conducted annually for nearly 20 years. The database is the only one of its kind in that it offers customizable and standardized reports on top-to-bottom compensation information for hospitals and health systems. Health systems require quality compensation data from the market and peer organizations to make informed decisions regarding how to pay their own people to ensure that they can retain top talent and reward for performance. In 2009, Hay Group received reward information from roughly 1,300 organizations and that database has been increasing each year since its inception.

“TIAA-CREF understands the importance that healthcare organizations place on compensation in their effort to attract and retain the best talent,” noted Kevin Nazworth, Vice President of the Healthcare Market at TIAA-CREF. “Partnering with the Hay Group presents an opportunity for TIAA-CREF to share our experience in the marketplace and help advance research into key trends in compensation and rewarding performance.”

As part of their new relationship, Hay Group and TIAA-CREF will create a series of reports based on information collected and analyzed. They will also co-host a roundtable event later this year where industry leaders will to discuss challenges in healthcare industry reward programs.

Hay Group’s Reward Information Services (RIS) Division conducts reward surveys globally and nationally for a wide range of industries including restaurants, chemical, energy, fast moving consumer goods, industrials, insurance, financial services, pharmaceuticals, biotech, retail and of course healthcare.
