Telework Exchange Appoints Josh Sawislak, Telework and Management Expert, as Senior Fellow
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Telework ExchangeSM, a public-private partnership focused on expanding telework, has appointed Josh Sawislak, AICP, as a Senior Fellow. Telework Exchange will draw on Sawislak’s experience in transportation and management issues such as telework policy, public-private partnerships, travel demand management, public transit planning and development, and environmental policy to continue efforts to push telework forward in the Federal government.
A professional planner and Washington, D.C. native, Sawislak has more than 25 years of experience as a corporate and government executive and project manager and has been a longtime telework advocate. In his recent role at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as the Senior Advisor to the Administrator and acting head of business continuity and emergency response, Sawislak provided advice and management support on issues including efficiency, accountability, and emergency preparedness, and was part of an effort to change the GSA culture to embrace telework as an effective tool for management, business continuity, and recruitment and retention.
Sawislak will support Telework Exchange’s ongoing efforts to expand telework awareness and adoption. Today, Sawislak launched the first edition of his new blog on telework, titled “Work: It’s a Verb, Not a Noun.” The first edition of the blog is now available at www.teleworkexchange.com/work. In the coming month, Sawislak will participate in the Fall 2010 Telework Exchange Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 7 in Washington, D.C., as well as participate in an online Webcast, titled, Telework Best Practices: Gaining Management Support, on October 21. “Telework is a game changer for the Federal government – it directly aligns with business continuity, productivity, efficiency, and workplace flexibility,” said Sawislak. “I look forward to joining efforts to help government agencies and their private sector partners find and promote effective telework solutions. I am pleased to join Telework Exchange, the go-to leader in Federal telework, to help blaze the trail.”

He gets telework and is a valuable addition to our team.”
Government executives will soon come together to discuss the current state of telework at the Fall 2010 Telework Exchange Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 7 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
