TEGG Corporation Announces Major Initiative to Meet the Demands of the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Market
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TEGG Corporation, with its international network of premier electrical contractors, has announced a new initiative to support the burgeoning electric vehicle infrastructure market. This new service product-delivery module will position TEGG to optimally meet the demands of any deployment mode for charging station installations across the globe.
As major auto-makers continue to heighten the pitch of their production and sales forecasts for electric vehicles in 2012 and beyond, it is time to prepare for the widespread deployment of the essential infrastructure and its service and support.
“TEGG’s proven service product-delivery model that has been so successful for our TEGG® and CurrentSAFE® brands will now be able to provide reliable and cost-effective installation and service support to this EVI (electric vehicle infrastructure) market,” Lowry M. Stoops, President of TEGG Corporation, told an industry audience. “TEGG’s experience-based design and rigorous market benchmarking and training guarantee that its network professionals, with sales of over $6.0 billion, will be field-ready at over 150 select electrical contractors worldwide. The EV Service offering will be introduced across the TEGG international market spanning 17 countries in stages, beginning with select US markets.
“We targeted EV infrastructure for its high growth potential. TEGG is perfectly suited to leverage its high-value training capabilities in electrical infrastructure where high-reliability and safety demands are paramount,” Stoops went on to say. “We recognize that as industry leaders we need to continue to stay ahead of the field in providing our network the most efficient and cost-effective EVI service product delivery module possible—and that’s what we have managed to do.”
TEGG’s web-based proprietary software platform will allow manufacturers to remotely look in on the daily status of installation and service. “This kind of capability is not available at the installation-contractor level anywhere else in the industry,” Stoops observed. “EV infrastructure manufacturers will be keenly interested in that. Armed with this service product delivery capability, TEGG network companies will clearly come to the EVI market with a formidable competitive advantage,” Stoops concluded.
The implementation of the EV infrastructure is already underway. TEGG and its CurrentSAFE subsidiary are finalizing their global training and software support, which can be easily customized to each EV manufacturer.
When fully implemented, the TEGG EVI service product delivery module will ensure that all TEGG network companies are fully qualified to provide specifications, installation and commissioning, along with operations and maintenance and ongoing training for all EV infrastructure equipment from every major manufacturer.
