Cloud Security Leader Establishes Presence in Europe and Asia Pacific Markets; Opens New Regional Offices in US

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Symplified®, the Cloud security company, today announced that it has expanded business operations globally to address burgeoning demand for its cloud identity and access management services in key US, European and Asia Pacific markets. The company appointed Steve Pope, former Software AG and AmberPoint executive, to lead sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Symplified also opened regional offices in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and recently signed distribution agreements with J’s Communication in Japan, Sandz in Singapore, Xynapse in the Philippines, IP4Sure in the Netherlands and Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions in the US.

In a recent interview with healthcareinfosecurity.com, Dr. Alastair MacWillson, global managing director of Accenture’s global security practice stated: “Identity and access management are concerns. Many organizations would like to see access-management provided for as a cloud-based service. But the transport of user information across borders is a real challenge.” Symplified provides a complete identity and access management service – web access management, single sign-on (SSO), auditing and user management across any access device –via the Symplified Trust Cloud™. This service is woven into the fabric of the global Amazon Web Services platform, allowing organizations to maintain user information in designated geographies and avoid violating country specific privacy laws.

“The cloud is the future of IT and Symplified is removing the fear that organizations have with the lack of centralized identity and access controls built into software as a service applications,” said Eric Olden, CEO of Symplified. “In the U.S., businesses have been converting IT infrastructure and applications to the cloud at an accelerated rate this year. We are now seeing a huge uptick in demand in international markets as well. By expanding into the UK, signing distribution partnerships in Asia Pacific, and growing our presence in key regional US markets, Symplified is extending its leadership position on a global scale.”

To lead its expansion into EMEA, Symplified appointed industry veteran Steve Pope as vice president of sales for the region. Pope will build Symplified’s UK-based direct sales team, establish and manage channel partnerships, and oversee business operations throughout EMEA. Pope has held European-based executive sales and business management roles with Software AG, SOA Software, AmberPoint (acquired by Oracle), webMethods, Informix and Forte Software. He started his career pioneering the early deployment of UNIX/RDBMS technologies for the UK Ministry of Defense.
