PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced that industry-leading chief information officers (CIOs) from FedEx Corp. and The Procter & Gamble Co. will headline its HP IT Forum for customers Nov. 18 - 19 in Atlanta.

Rob Carter, executive vice president and CIO at FedEx, and Filippo Passerini, president, global business services and CIO for Procter & Gamble, will describe their IT transformation journeys in keynote sessions at the event on Nov. 18. The two will then join Randy Mott, HP executive vice president and chief information officer, in a panel discussion with customers.

“We’re fortunate to have industry leaders of the caliber of Filippo and Rob join us for one of our events,” said Mott. “The situation is different for every company, but there are valuable insights for all IT executives from the journeys each of us has had over the past several years.”

The HP IT Forums are invitation-only for CIOs and their senior leadership teams. Now in their fourth year, the “peer-to-peer,” IT-led sessions are put on by HP’s IT executive team.

Along with Carter and Passerini, Mott will deliver a keynote address at the Atlanta event. His leadership team will hold breakout sessions on data center transformation, portfolio management, application transformation, network architecture, end-user services, software automation tools and enterprise data warehousing. Participants will be able to tour one of HP’s next-generation data centers in Atlanta as part of the event.

To date, 17 forums have been conducted worldwide. The schedule of events in the United States, Europe and Asia for 2011 will be announced at the Atlanta forum.

“These sessions are invaluable to our clients,” said Tom Hogan, executive vice president, Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Strategy, HP. “They bring a unique and powerful combination of pragmatic experience and expertise in a peer-to-peer, collaborative environment. We are fortunate and pleased Rob and Filippo are joining our forum to add important context from two of the world’s leading brands.”

Space is limited for the Atlanta event. Information on the conference is available at www.hp.com/go/hpitforumATL.
