AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Scarab Consulting, a global provider of discovery services including collections, social media surveillance, processing (electronic and paper), hosting, managed review and court reporting/deposition services, today announced its new company name, Evidex. In addition to discovery services, Evidex provides a suite of legally defensible, information management consulting solutions such as document retention consulting and data mapping services.  These consulting solutions help organizations better control the inherent costs and risks of the discovery process. The new name, effective immediately, more accurately reflects the company's comprehensive areas of expertise, product portfolio of solutions and strategic direction being taken by the new management.

"Today's introduction of the new Evidex brand indicates a significant highlight for our company," said Bob Gomes, chief executive officer of Evidex.  "The Scarab Consulting name did not adequately represent our business, products, expertise or positioning. The Evidex name embodies our ability and our commitment to continue to provide best-in-class consulting, discovery, and technology-based solutions that enable corporations and their law firms to make the most informed decisions about the risks and costs related to their electronically stored information. It also supports our strategic direction of offering additional information governance and litigation consulting solutions to the legal market."

The company also recently made significant changes to its executive management team with the addition of several e-discovery industry veterans including Bob Gomes as chief executive officer, Larry Lieb as chief innovation officer, Frederick Kopec as general counsel, Bonnie Rodden Gomes as vice president of business development, Maria Augustine as vice president operations, Fernando Parra as vice president sales, Daniel Junk as senior e-discovery and information lifecycle management consultant, and Bob Jordan as controller. In addition, the company is making changes to its range of product offerings and the Evidex name more appropriately reflects that direction.

"Growth necessitates change. The new name more accurately reflects both the company's leadership position and strategic direction," commented Mr. Gomes.

Beginning today, the company's website will be at www.Evidex.com and all business activity will be conducted using the new name. There has been no change in the company's ownership.
